No prior background in neuroscience is required. The FHS Neuroscience Club welcomes all students from grades 9 through 12. Our structured coaching sessions, peer mentors, and study cohorts start from fundamental concepts before progressing to competition-level neuroanatomy and clinical topics.

Preparation Milestones

01. FoundationsSeptember – October

Cellular neuroscience, action potentials, neurotransmitters, and basic nervous system architecture.

02. Anatomy & PathologyNovember – December

Brain structures, cranial nerves, neurological disorders, imaging diagnostics, and clinical vignettes.

03. Mock DrillsJanuary

Timed multiple-choice tests, live buzzer simulations, histology slide quizzes, and mentor review.

04. Rice Brain BeeFebruary

Official regional competition at Rice University with individual rankings and national qualifiers.
